How to take the Hukamnama?
The Hukamnamah from this page gives always a page from the left side of Guru Granth Sahib.
If the first Shabad starts on the previous page, go one page back and read the last Shabad on that page, turn the page and finish reading when the next Shabad begins.
If you get a Hukamnamah from a Bani like Sukhmani Sahib or Anand Sahib, you would read the first Pauri on the page (if it starts on the previous page, start from there).
If the Bani is like "Slok"... "Pauri"... you read the Slok and the Pauri (if it starts on the previous page, start from there).
You read the first two lines of the Hukamnamah twice. The Pauri before the "Rahao" (if applicable) is usually the central idea of the Shabad. The last two lines are also read twice (as indication that this is the end of the Hukamnamah).
It is always good to do a (short) Ardaas before taking the Hukamnamah. Ask for guidance for the day, or for answers for urgent problems. - Oh, you don't believe that the "random-number-generator" will put out a page with the answer to your questions?
